About me
Nadia Ksaiba is quite extraordinarily difficult
When you’re expecting one of her notorious party sets you’re likely to be treated instead to two hours of leftfield underground disco. Next time you hear her she’ll turn out two hours of heavy techno, Or jacking Chicago house. Or synth pop. Or new wave punk funk. Or all of the above. At the same time.
Nadia learned to be difficult as a regular on he dancefloor of legendary Monday nighter Trash where she hooked up with resident DJ Rory Phillips and started the highly influential Did We Mention Our Disco which ran from 2003-2008 and swiftly won a reputation as the most exciting place in the capital to hear new music. During it’s run guests included Prins Thomas, 2ManyDJs, Zongamin, Chicken Lips, In Flagranti, Lindstrom, Mr Oizo, Headman, Erol Alkan and Optimo among others.
Word quickly spread about Nadia’s skills and soon enough she was picking up gigs as tour DJ for the The Klaxons, Simian Mobile Disco, and Soulwax; and getting booked to bring her unique sound all over the UK and Europe. She has played at some of the most influential and musically credible nightspots in the country including Bugged Out, Fabric, Return To New York, Disco Bloodbath, Trash, Fabric, 21st Century Bodyrockers, Bestival, Field Day, Adventures In The Beetroot Field, Trailer Trash, and Optimo. She can always be relied upon to rock a dance floor whatever the musical persuasion of the crowd. Her sets are as diverse as they are engaging, educational without ever being condescending, and never, ever predictable.
Recently Nadia has turned her attentions towards music production working on music with Matt Waites with releases on Dissident and Codek. She also runs the musically forward thinking night Say Yes in east London with fellow Our Disco alumni Rory Phillips, and hosts a fortnightly radio show, Rhythm Connection, on NTSlive.co.uk with Dan Beaumont.
